Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three to five years of relevant hospitality industry experience in food and beverage
  • Valid current food handler’s card
  • Alcohol service certification as required by federal, state, or local laws
  • Ability to manage costs effectively
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Ability to multitask and delegate tasks
  • Must be physically capable of standing for long periods and handling up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in stressful environments
  • Comfortable with basic math and operation of point-of-sale systems

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality preferred
  • Three to five years’ experience in hospitality industry food and beverage with strong guest focus
  • Current food handler’s card and alcohol service certifications
  • Working knowledge of general restaurant operations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to multitask and organize
  • Proven track record of increasing responsibility
  • Team building capability

Job Duties

  • Uphold company and brand standards, policies and procedures and hold all staff members accountable
  • Organize and prioritize all work assignments and delegate work to appropriate staff members
  • Direct service on the floor and reflect the culture of the hotel and brand
  • Create staff schedules to ensure proper staffing
  • Track stock levels of foods, supplies and equipment, forecast needs and oversee ordering
  • Manage budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses
  • Maintain applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests
  • Ensure employee appearance reflects the company image
  • Influence the team to embrace and reflect the company core values
  • Possess knowledge and enforcement of all food and beverage menus including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation
  • Enforce hospitality standards
  • Ensure compliance with proper cash handling and operation of the point-of-sale system
  • Attend all required meetings
  • Teach and display professional service techniques
  • Hire, train and manage restaurant team members
  • Ensure clean, safe and orderly work areas
  • Oversee cashier functions, after-shift forms and cover counts
  • Complete all food and beverage and storeroom requisitions
  • Ensure in-room dining service and tray removal times meet guidelines
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings
  • Address customer needs, comments, and concerns
  • Communicate financial performance, inventory and personnel matters
  • Ensure reservation system functions efficiently
