Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years restaurant management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience managing to brand standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
  • Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulations
  • Strong floor presence with focus and energy
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Behavior every day with every guest interaction and professional hospitality at all times
  • Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies aligned with Choice Hotels overall mission and values
  • Develop and implement strategies for department and assigned food and beverage outlets
  • Monitor status regularly and adjust strategies as needed
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals
  • Assist in development of marketing plans by monitoring competitors
  • Develop and implement special promotions and employee incentives
  • Provide employees with up-to-date menu information and coach on effective sales techniques
  • Maximize productivity using forecasting techniques for scheduling
  • Manage operation of assigned restaurant or outlet
  • Coordinate set-up of restaurant areas in accordance with hotel standards
  • Confirm daily specials with Executive Chef and Restaurant General Manager
  • Manage food and beverage service coaching employees on service and presentation
  • Inspect restaurant areas to ensure standards are met
  • Lead staff and pre-shift meetings
  • Assist in quarterly inventories
  • Develop and implement practices supporting employee engagement
  • Recruit and select qualified candidates
  • Provide orientation, training, and feedback to employees
  • Coach and counsel employees to achieve performance objectives
  • Drive employee engagement through action plans
  • Create 100% guest satisfaction by delivering genuine hospitality
  • Communicate and reinforce vision for customer service
  • Ensure 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee compliance
  • Develop customer feedback avenues and implement solutions
  • Perform other duties as required to provide guest satisfaction
