Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience managing a restaurant or similar establishment
  • servsafe certification required
  • ability to work 50 hours or more per week including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales
  • manage costs to meet budget targets focusing on cost of sales, labor costs and cash over/short
  • analyze variances and initiate corrective actions with a high sense of urgency
  • ensure all financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time
  • maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by enforcing sanitation standards and complying with health regulations
  • ensure consistent high quality food preparation and service
  • maintain restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • maintain accurate inventory and control cost of goods
  • supervise portion control and minimize waste
  • estimate food needs, place orders, and schedule delivery of food and supplies
  • uphold all ServSafe guidelines and maintain certification
  • complete weekly Food Excellence Self-Assessment
  • ensure positive guest service and respond to complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
  • ensure a safe working environment to reduce injury risk
  • manage shifts including decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards
  • investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
  • complete weekly Food Excellence audit
  • recruit, train, assign, supervise, coach, and counsel employees
  • ensure all employees complete training
  • communicate job expectations and enforce policies and procedures
  • develop employees with feedback and performance expectations
  • prepare schedules and ensure full staffing for all shifts
  • conduct monthly staff meetings
  • develop employees to become Shift Leaders and future General Managers
  • maintain compliance with all regulations and company policies
  • perform loss prevention audits
  • keep District Manager informed and take corrective actions
  • maintain favorable working relationships to promote employee morale and productivity
  • accept ownership to accomplish company goals
