Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise and temperature extremes
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 25-50 pounds, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and stooping
- Ability to multitask while maintaining composure
- Strong customer orientation focus
- Professionalism, composure, and discretion in customer issue resolution
- Flexibility to work a 50-hour work week including all shifts and days
- Ability to report to work promptly and regularly
- Knowledge of general state and federal employment laws
- Ability to conduct physical inspections of all restaurant areas
- Must have and maintain ServSafe certification
- Ability to use a headset
- Must be able to meet the requirements of all subordinate positions
- Move and inspect all supplies in the restaurant
Job Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience in operations
- Minimum of 1 year of line operations experience in the restaurant industry
- Ability to perform all restaurant operations positions and functions
- Knowledge of Wendy’s operating systems and procedures
- Understanding of Wendy’s policies related to job responsibilities
- Familiarity with supervisory practices
- Experience with interviewing practices
- Knowledge of crew orientation and training programs
- ServSafe certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to train others in Wendy’s systems and employee development programs
Job Duties
- Manage labor costs by evaluating labor needs against projected sales during shifts
- Review monthly budget and profit and loss statements
- Build sales by promoting customer satisfaction
- Monitor crew prep, production, and procedural execution
- Track waste levels and ensure adherence to established procedures
- Communicate sales or profit issues to the General Manager or District Manager
- Assist in executing the restaurant sales and profit plan
- Process crew applications, conduct interviews, and hire staff
- Monitor crew turnover and recommend improvements
- Monitor product quality through customer engagement and crew performance
- Take service time and efficiency measurements
- Train crew in customer service and courtesy
- Take corrective actions to improve service times
- Train crew on soliciting customer feedback
- Set and communicate daily sales goals
- Train and maintain restaurant cleanliness
- Follow restaurant cleaning plans and correct deficiencies
- Train crew on new products and assist in new manager training
- Orient and train new crew members
- Cross-train crew for efficient shift coverage
- Recognize high-performing crewmembers
- Monitor prep and production goals
- Manage inventory levels
- Maintain security of cash, product, and equipment
- Follow restaurant priorities and execute standards during shifts
- Ensure Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards are met
- Take appropriate action for anticipated or identified problems
- Adhere to operational procedures and safety policies
- Manage cash control and report accidents
- Resolve Health Department operational issues
- Perform administrative duties as assigned
- Write crew schedules
- Follow preventative maintenance and report problems
- Manage crew performance and retention
- Handle crew grievances and communication
- Mentor crew interested in leadership roles
- Foster teamwork and motivation
- Conduct timely crew performance reviews
