Job Requirements

  • Must have substantial experience managing high-volume restaurants or bars
  • Proficient in restaurant functions including food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies, personnel management, recordkeeping
  • Ability to follow multi-step instructions
  • Ability to handle quickly changing situations
  • Ability to compute proper change and perform financial tasks
  • Must complete required training and certifications such as food and alcohol service
  • Effective communication in English
  • High school diploma required
  • Knowledge of office software MS Word and Excel
  • ServSafe certification required

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years management experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants
  • Prior management experience in full-service restaurant concepts
  • Ability to execute high standards in food and beverage quality
  • Exceptional people skills
  • Passionate work ethic
  • Proficient in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation
  • Ability to apply common sense to multi-step instructions
  • Ability to handle changing situations with many variables
  • Ability to compute change, perform employee checkouts, and compute bank deposits
  • Completion of required training and certifications including ServSafe
  • Effective communication skills in English, Spanish is a plus
  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Manage shifts including decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
  • Provide daily direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
  • Ensure positive guest experience and respond to complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
  • Effectively teach, motivate, coach, and discipline staff while maintaining a fun and playful atmosphere
  • Train and develop hourly employees and document coaching and evaluations
  • Proactively recruit staff to meet brand image and costume standards
  • Handle hiring, supervision, counseling, and training of employees
  • Ensure completion of financial, reporting, and payroll administrative duties accurately and on time
  • Estimate food and beverage costs, order supplies, and supervise portion control and preparation to minimize waste
  • Enforce sanitary practices, company policies, and legal compliance
  • Maintain professional restaurant image and responsible alcohol service
  • Adhere to company standards to increase sales and minimize costs
