Job Requirements

  • high school diploma required
  • minimum 2 years management experience in high volume full service restaurants
  • ServSafe certification required
  • ability to effectively communicate in English
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to multi step instructions
  • must have substantial experience managing high volume restaurants or bars
  • proficient in restaurant operations including food planning preparation purchasing sanitation security personnel management recordkeeping and reporting
  • ability to handle changing situations with many variables
  • ability to perform accurate mathematical computations
  • successful completion of required training for food and alcohol service
  • knowledge of office software MS Word Excel
  • Spanish communication skills extremely helpful

Job Duties

  • manage shifts including scheduling and planning while upholding standards food quality and cleanliness
  • ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce risk of injury and accidents
  • provide daily direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
  • ensure positive guest experience and respond to complaints
  • investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
  • teach motivate coach and discipline staff
  • maintain a fun playful atmosphere free of intimidation harassment and poor performance
  • train and develop hourly employees and document coaching and evaluations
  • ensure Steps of Service are followed and motivate front of house staff to entertain
  • hold kitchen staff accountable for cooking absolutes and sanitation
  • recruit staff that meet brand image and costume standards
  • hire supervise counsel and train hourly employees
  • maintain training schedules and materials for new employees
  • create daily shift schedules in accordance with company policy
  • handle issues of discrimination or harassment in accordance with policy
  • complete accident or incident reports promptly
  • manage financial duties including invoices reporting and payroll
  • estimate food and beverage costs and supervise portion control
  • place orders and schedule deliveries
  • dress and act professionally and uphold company standards
  • enforce sanitary practices and compliance with laws and standards
  • ensure consistent high quality food preparation and service
  • maintain restaurant cleanliness and appearance standards
  • ensure responsible alcohol service
