Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods and work in fast-paced environments
  • general knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • ability to train others in Wendy's systems and employee development programs
  • capacity to meet physical demands including lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and stooping
  • ability to multi-task while maintaining composure
  • strong customer orientation and teamwork skills
  • professionalism, composure, and discretion in handling customer concerns
  • availability to work a 50-hour work week including all shifts and days
  • ability to report to work promptly and regularly

Job Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience in operations
  • one year of line operations experience in the restaurant industry
  • ability to perform all restaurant operations functions
  • knowledge of Wendy's operating systems and procedures
  • knowledge of Wendy's policies and procedures related to job responsibilities
  • understanding of supervisory and interviewing practices
  • familiarity with crew orientation and training programs
  • valid driver's license
  • ServSafe certification

Job Duties

  • Manage labor costs by evaluating labor needs against projected sales during shifts
  • review monthly budget and profit and loss statements
  • promote customer satisfaction to build sales
  • monitor crew prep, production, and procedures to manage costs
  • track waste levels using established procedures
  • communicate sales and profit-related issues to General Manager or District Manager
  • assist in executing restaurant sales and profit plans
  • monitor food costs to eliminate waste and theft
  • process crew applications and set up interviews
  • check references and hire crew for adequate coverage
  • monitor crew turnover and recommend improvements
  • monitor product quality by engaging with customers and managing crew performance
  • take service times and determine efficiency
  • train crew in customer service and courtesy
  • take corrective action to improve service times
  • solicit customer feedback for satisfaction
  • establish and communicate daily sales on service goals
  • train crew to maintain restaurant cleanliness
  • follow and enforce restaurant cleaning plan
  • direct crew to correct cleaning deficiencies
  • train crew on new products and cross-training
  • assist General Manager in training new managers
  • recognize high-performing crew members
  • ensure crew meets prep and production goals
  • monitor inventory to ensure product availability
  • maintain security of cash, product, and equipment
  • follow restaurant priorities set by General Manager or District Manager
  • ensure proper execution of standards and procedures during shifts
  • manage shifts to quality, service, and cleanliness standards
  • take action when problems are identified
  • follow operations manual procedures
  • maintain safe working conditions
  • follow cash control policies
  • report accidents promptly
  • handle health department inspection procedures
  • manage shifts with proper guidelines
