Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Some college or degree preferred
  • One to two years previous managerial experience, preferably in the food services industry
  • Ability to stand and walk extensively for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work irregular hours under pressure
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to operate kitchen and restaurant equipment safely
  • Compliance with safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner according to established procedures and local health regulations
  • Perform or assist all functions for all positions in the restaurant when required
  • Ensure the unit's compliance with productivity and service standards with well-trained and productive employees
  • Manage facility and equipment through preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security measures, and adherence to safety and sanitation requirements
  • Conduct staffing, training, performance reviews, recommend salary increases, and issue employee work counseling for kitchen personnel
  • Manage accurate financial data including payroll, cash and receipts, productivity, food costs, and operating expenses
