Job Duties
- listen to and accommodate guests and employees
- maintain good employee rapport by teaching, coaching, and guiding staff
- apply cost control measures including food cost control, profit and loss management, and waste minimization
- ensure attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- operate and utilize technology systems such as Aloha, Kitchen Display Systems, and POS
- handle cash and financial transactions accurately
- support the General Manager in various operational and decision-making tasks
- assist in employee disciplinary actions
- train team members
- ensure compliance with company policies among incoming staff
- supervise daily shift operations
- coordinate front- and back-of-house restaurant activities
- enforce food safety standards and regulations in kitchen operations
- lead by example and motivate staff during busy periods
- communicate effectively using strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- identify business priorities and set appropriate goals
- value diversity and show respect for others
- problem solve and manage stressful situations
- promote Starbird's Core Values, Hospitality Service Standards, and Team Member Standards
- perform physical tasks including standing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and grasping for extended periods
