Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • For alcohol serving restaurants, must meet all state-mandated age requirements
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts and walk for long periods
  • Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach with hands and use fine motor skills
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Ability to verbally communicate
  • Ability to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and adjust focus
  • Ability to access all areas of the restaurant including selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • Flexible availability including weekends and various shifts

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervise restaurant staff in line with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, and train employees
  • Assign and direct work
  • Appraise employee performance
  • Reward and discipline employees
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Coach and mentor team members to ensure success and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior to create a hospitable atmosphere
  • Assist team members with duties as needed
  • Build store sales through execution of marketing programs
  • Champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Meet and greet guests and resolve food quality or service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost controls and profit management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company safety policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors
  • Monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • Control day-to-day operations including cash control, financial reviews, and schedules
  • Manage food costs via recipes, portion control, and inventory management
  • Control labor costs through effective use of labor scheduling tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned
