Job Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in food or restaurant service management
  • 3 years’ of supervisory experience
  • 1 year experience in events
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as business needs dictate
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, up to 8 hours in a day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently
  • Willingness to work in a high volume production kitchen that can be hot, cold, humid and/or slippery
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities like moving tables, chairs and clearing dirty dishes
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently during set-up and events

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily café and deli operations, including opening/closing procedures, staffing, and inventory control
  • Manage the scheduling and workflow of the Food Services Department
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Manage product presentation, menu execution, and service quality in coordination with culinary leadership
  • Champion a culture of hospitality and guest satisfaction throughout all café and deli operations
  • Lead by example in delivering attentive, friendly, and efficient service to every guest by being present and working alongside teammates
  • Demonstrate, train, and promote safety awareness
  • handle staff and guest injuries following Museum procedures
  • Responsible for hiring and supervising staff
