This job posting is for a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee of Jack in the Box, a well-known American fast-food restaurant chain. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum 1+ years experience as associate manager or 2 years as first assistant manager for internal promote
  • minimum 3 years restaurant management experience with full P&L responsibility for external recruits
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • must complete restaurant manager training
  • ServSafe certification required
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • proficiency in basic math
  • excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • valid driver’s license and insurance
  • ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk majority of shift
  • ability to use computers and related software

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required
  • associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • for internal promotions, minimum of 1+ years experience as an associate manager or 2 years as a first assistant manager
  • for external recruits, minimum of 3 years experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • must complete restaurant manager training classes
  • ServSafe certified
  • ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
  • excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and planning skills
  • proficiency with personal computers and software
  • valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to personal vehicle
  • strong integrity and ethical behavior
  • ability to stand and walk 85-95% of shift
  • ability to lift 10-65 lbs
  • ability to operate restaurant equipment and drive motor vehicle
  • ability to operate a computer keyboard

Job Duties

  • Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
  • monitor staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent
  • implement and adhere to employee training systems
  • identify and develop internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions
  • create an employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment
  • motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance
  • comply with all state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • manage daily activities to achieve restaurant operational excellence
  • provide exceptional guest service and food quality
  • respond professionally to guest concerns and complaints
  • maintain restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and brand image
  • analyze restaurant operational and financial performance using management information tools
  • develop and implement action plans for business improvement
  • monitor costs and budget adherence
  • exercise discretion and independent judgment on business matters
  • perform other related duties as assigned
