Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma required for internal promotion
  • Working toward AA or BA/BS degree preferred for internal promotion
  • AA degree acceptable for external recruit
  • BA/BS in Business or related field preferred for external recruit
  • Minimum 1+ years experience as Associate Manager and/or 2 years experience as First Assistant Manager for internal promotion
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility for external recruit
  • Must complete Restaurant Manager training classes
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform basic math concepts
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Good organization and planning skills
  • Self-starter with initiative
  • Proficient in personal computers and software
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and use of personal vehicle
  • Ability to stand and walk 85%-95% of shift
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment and drive a motor vehicle
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior

Job Duties

  • Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent
  • Ensure training systems for workstations are fully implemented and followed
  • Identify and develop internal candidates for management and team leader positions
  • Ensure execution of "My Promise to You" and the Service Profit Chain
  • Create an employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment
  • Motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance
  • Treat employees with respect and dignity and recognize and reward performance
  • Utilize JIB systems, processes, and tools with compliance to labor laws
  • Manage daily restaurant operations to achieve excellence
  • Provide exceptional guest experience by ensuring training and accountability
  • Review and improve guest service practices
  • Maintain visibility and interaction with guests
  • Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and brand image
  • Serve as a role model for guest service
  • Analyze operational and financial performance using management tools
  • Identify trends and implement action plans
  • Focus on increasing restaurant sales and profitability
  • Monitor costs, budget adherence, and restaurant goals
