Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of post-high school education
  • Two or more years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of restaurant and hotel operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and make decisions within established policies
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and delegate
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of post-high school education
  • Two or more years of full employment in a related position
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of restaurant and hotel practices and procedures
  • Strong supervision, management and communication skills
  • Ability to investigate, analyze activities or information and make recommendations
  • Ability to make decisions guided by policy and procedures
  • Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing, security, safety, personnel and labor relations, business planning, repairs, maintenance, budgeting, quality assurance, hospitality law and long-range planning
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, organize and delegate
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills adaptable to various audiences

Job Duties

  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the bar operations
  • Manage the human resources in the various outlets to attract, retain and motivate associates
  • Interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews
  • Resolve problems and provide open communication
  • Recommend discipline and termination as appropriate
  • Implement company programs and manage operations to ensure compliance with LSOPs, SOPs, safety regulations and federal, state and local laws
  • Forecast, implement, monitor, control and report on budgets including labor, food, beverage costs and supplies
  • Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems
  • Create, recommend and implement promotions, displays and buffet presentations to attract guests
  • Monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of outlet areas and equipment
  • Comply with attendance rules and maintain availability
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
