Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Obtain and maintain registration or license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
  • Possess or able to obtain an alcohol awareness card
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum five years of full-service restaurant experience
  • Three years in a leadership role preferred
  • Proficiency in POS and other related software
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varying schedules including high-pressure situations
  • Ability to lift and maneuver at least 30 pounds
  • Good vision and physical stamina to meet job demands
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in hotel or restaurant management preferred
  • Minimum five years of full-service restaurant experience
  • At least three years in a leadership role preferred
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with POS, purchasing, warehouse requisition, time-keeping software, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with planning and project management
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of union and non-union working environments preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policy and procedure manuals
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Fluency in English required, second language a plus
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations and create reports

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations including staffing and labor management
  • Oversee ordering and inventory control to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Maintain high standards of guest service and food presentation
  • Implement departmental strategy aligned with Encore Boston Harbor goals
  • Monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness, making improvements as necessary
  • Manage team performance including hiring, training, and employee engagement
  • Address guest complaints and team member conflicts with tact and professionalism
  • Oversee compliance with all internal policies, and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct shift briefings and motivate staff to deliver optimum service
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure property-wide communication and guest satisfaction
  • Maintain safety standards and promote a safe working environment
  • Stay informed of industry trends and implement best practices
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
