Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • minimum of 3-5 years experience in food and beverage management
  • excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • proficiency with inventory and financial control software
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • valid Serve Safe food handler or manager certification
  • valid TIPs certification if applicable
  • strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on food and beverage knowledge and experience
  • union environment experience preferred
  • strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, checkbook management, productivity, inventory controls, profit and loss analysis, food and beverage cost controls
  • demonstrated ability to work with Sales, Marketing, Culinary, and Catering leadership
  • willingness to work flexible hours during busy times, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Serve Safe certified food manager or unexpired TIPs required
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment handling multiple priorities
  • highly developed customer service skills
  • friendly and approachable demeanor with strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards
  • ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation awareness standards
  • prepare daily for health department and EcoSure inspections
  • maintain up to date knowledge of local competitor's food and beverage offerings
  • work with Sales to assist in promotion of public events, in-house events, site visits, tastings
  • work with the Director of Finance and Purchasing Supervisor to maintain control of purchasing standards
  • control requisitioning of food and beverage quantities by forecasting volume to achieve maximum profitability
  • ensure leadership floor coverage during peak outlet hours
  • responsible for ensuring high-quality cleanliness, service, food quality and presentation
  • ensure positive guest service and respond to complaints
  • communicate daily with outlet leadership team
  • schedule and conduct monthly food and beverage inventories
  • review staffing levels to ensure operational needs and financial objectives are met
  • recruit and interview team members
  • monitor and develop team members by training and supervising
  • utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead and encourage others
  • encourage mutual trust, respect and cooperation among associates
  • solicit associate feedback and ensure recognition takes place
  • maintain a professional appearance according to standards
  • respond effectively in emergency or safety situations
  • conduct or attend all required trainings and meetings
  • perform other duties required by senior management
