Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years proven experience as a manager in the restaurant industry
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to treat others with respect, kindness and professionalism
  • Reliability and consistent attendance
  • Ability to set clear expectations and make appropriate requests to staff
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work a 50-hour work week, flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, must be over 18
  • Degree in hospitality or restaurant management preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts with General Manager
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery
  • Assist restaurant and host staff with phone reservations
  • Make detailed shift notes about dining service occurrences
  • Oversee to-go and delivery orders with management team
  • Open or close restaurant as scheduled
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and sanitation
  • Attend leadership and staff meetings
  • Assist GM in overseeing hosts, food runners, bussers, and servers
  • Schedule restaurant staff for dining service and events
  • Train and mentor staff for exceptional guest experiences
  • Manage employee performance with GM and HR
  • Collaborate on marketing ideas and initiatives
  • Support social media promotion with photos and videos
  • Serve as brand ambassador for events and dinners
