Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry or full-service concept
  • ServSafe certification
  • fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • excellent organizational skills
  • excellent analytical, problem solving, and math skills
  • ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure
  • proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
  • ability to drive and travel within assigned area including some overnight travel

Job Duties

  • Fully staff the store with quality people
  • recruit, hire, and retain all restaurant employees
  • ensure the entire team is certified according to current training processes
  • create a service-oriented culture
  • promote an environment of fun and teamwork
  • evaluate performance and recommend salary increases
  • recommend, approve, and administer disciplinary action, suspension, and/or termination
  • develop and grow team members and future managers
  • execute Del Taco standards and use processes and systems 100 percent of the time
  • maintain the facility and customer areas
  • maintain all equipment to operational and safety standards
  • deliver only quality products to Del Taco standards every time
  • adhere to cleaning schedules and standards
  • ensure employees are in proper uniform
  • ensure a consistent service experience
  • ensure point of purchase (POP) and signage is present and in the approved location
  • identify and communicate sales goals daily, weekly, year over year
  • ensure the right people are in the right places according to projected and actual sales
  • increase customer count and check average, maximizing capacity and customer value
  • identify and execute local store marketing opportunities to attract new customers
  • stay aware of local events and understand the store's current trade area and competition
  • execute speed and service standards
  • maintain staffing levels to actual sales
  • comply with labor laws
  • accurately order and manage inventory to reduce waste and prevent theft
  • ensure cash handling procedures and standards are followed
  • perform cash audits and address identified issues
  • execute safety and health standards
  • minimize repair and maintenance, supplies and services costs by managing service vendors efficiently
  • achieve and communicate controllable cost targets
  • perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • adapt duties to changing circumstances including emergencies, workload changes, and technical developments
