Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- complete restaurant manager training classes
- ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to perform basic math
- proven analytical skills
- good organization and planning skills
- self-starter with initiative and responsibility
- proficient with personal computers and software applications
- possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, and ability to use a personal vehicle for business travel
- ability to stand and walk 85-95 percent of shift
- ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
- ability to operate restaurant equipment and drive motor vehicle
- demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent for internal candidates
- working towards AA or BA/BS preferred
- AA degree acceptable for external candidates
- BA/BS in Business or related field preferred
- minimum 1 year experience as Associate Manager or 2 years as First Assistant Manager for internal candidates
- minimum 3 years of managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility for external candidates
- ServSafe certification
- proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
- excellent interpersonal skills
- strong analytical and organizational skills
- valid driver’s license and insurance
Job Duties
- Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
- monitor staffing levels and ensure systems for employee training are implemented
- develop internal candidates for management positions
- ensure execution of Service Profit Chain and My Promise to You
- create an employee-friendly, safe, and clean restaurant environment
- motivate and inspire employees for high performance
- maintain compliance with labor laws
- manage daily restaurant operations and ensure excellent guest service and food quality
- address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- maintain brand image through cleanliness and maintenance
- analyze operational and financial performance data
- identify trends and implement action plans
- focus on increasing sales and profitability
- monitor costs and adherence to budget and restaurant goals
