Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of full-service restaurant management experience
  • Proven ability to meet sales and cost targets
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and teaching skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Solid understanding of profit and loss concepts and reporting
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to embodying Fifth Group Restaurant values
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Capacity to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment
  • Ability to handle prolonged use of POS and computer systems
  • Willingness to uphold workplace safety and maintain facility cleanliness
  • Ability to provide effective guest recovery and address complaints
  • Competence in managing cash handling and bank drawer reconciliation

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in restaurant management
  • Demonstrated history of leadership and staff development
  • Knowledge of restaurant operational practices
  • Competency in managing budgets and understanding profit and loss statements
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in training and coaching hospitality staff
  • Proven track record of achieving operational goals and targets
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently
  • Passion for guest service and the restaurant industry
  • Familiarity with safety and security protocols

Job Duties

  • Hold hourly staff accountable through timely and consistent feedback and coaching during ongoing training meetings
  • Educate staff on Fifth Group Restaurants purpose, mission, values, and connected service elements
  • Execute new hire training and provide ongoing support
  • Enforce Fifth Group policies and procedures
  • Maintain proper staffing levels for all shifts
  • Follow disciplinary guidelines and protocols
  • Understand and contribute to profit and loss statements and budgets
  • Accountable for cash handling including bank drawer reconciliation and deposits
  • Supervise labor, food, beverage, and controllable costs
  • Maintain and utilize unit forms for operations
  • Plan shifts including petty cash audits and menu meeting planning
  • Ensure a clean and well-maintained floor and hold staff accountable for duties
  • Provide management floor coverage for smooth shift operations
  • Address guest complaints and ensure prompt guest recovery
  • Develop guest relationships through table visits and recognition
  • Educate staff on workplace safety, security, and cleanliness
  • Implement time management tools including scheduling
  • Comprehend and write unit quarterly priorities
  • Target problem areas, implement solutions, and achieve set targets
  • Provide leadership and act as a role model
  • Foster open and honest communication
