Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of upscale restaurant management experience
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with POS and reservation systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to be on feet for extended periods
  • Impeccable personal presentation

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or equivalent hands-on experience in fine dining
  • 2-3 years of upscale restaurant management experience
  • Deep knowledge of fine dining service and industry trends
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, coach, and inspire a team
  • Experience with POS and reservation systems
  • proficiency in MS Office
  • Proven ability to handle high-pressure environments with poise and professionalism
  • Impeccable personal presentation and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Lead, train, and inspire the front-of-house staff in delivering elevated, fine dining service
  • Ensure all service standards align with the expectations of Longwood Gardens, our company, and our guests
  • Maintain and manage staff scheduling, payroll, and administrative duties
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate service goals clearly
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Manage daily floor plans, station assignments, and reservation systems to optimize service flow
  • Supervise and ensure completion of daily side work and service readiness
  • Maintain a pristine and welcoming dining room environment
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly with professionalism and grace
  • Act as an ambassador of hospitality and a role model for the team
