Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • At least 4 years of food service, retail, or restaurant management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, kneel, bend, and climb stairs
  • Previous training experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of health department standards
  • Skilled in people management including recruiting and scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the brand positively

Job Duties

  • Lead the team in personal image and professional behavior while driving company standards
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and coordinate with Director of Operations and marketing for recruitment
  • Facilitate orientation and training to ensure alignment with Cafe Lola standards
  • Conduct team member evaluations, manage disciplinary actions, and maintain personnel records
  • Create and approve work schedules balancing staffing needs with payroll and overtime constraints
  • Oversee daily staffing and implement labor cost controls
  • Promote a positive work environment emphasizing respect, recognition, and safety
  • Manage restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with health regulations
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring quality food and service
  • Handle guest complaints and recovery efforts
  • Communicate all policy and service updates effectively to team
  • Partner with Director of Operations on risk, HR, IT, and vendor management
  • Act as a brand ambassador internally and externally
  • Motivate the team to deliver excellent guest service and build pride in the Cafe Lola brand
