Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • one to three years of management-level hospitality or restaurant experience or minimum of 6 months as a Shift Supervisor at Benihana with positive performance
  • proficiency in food safety, planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping, and reports
  • knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
  • must possess valid driver’s license where applicable
  • must be eligible to work in the United States
  • agree to background check
  • ServSafe certification and alcohol service certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • One to three years of management-level hospitality or restaurant experience
  • proficiency in food planning, preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation
  • previous experience in teppanyaki-style restaurant preferred
  • knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • valid driver’s license where applicable
  • eligible to work in the United States
  • ServSafe certified
  • alcohol service certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations
  • select, develop and manage front of house employees
  • oversee inventory and ordering of food and supplies
  • optimize profits while ensuring guest satisfaction
  • resolve food quality and service complaints
  • inspect dining and kitchen areas for compliance with health and safety regulations
  • supervise cleaning and maintenance of equipment
  • maintain restaurant cleanliness and appearance standards
  • coordinate scheduling of departments
  • ensure accurate and timely data entry
  • lead store level events and marketing initiatives
  • ensure compliance with laws, codes and company policies
  • ensure sanitary food handling and kitchen cleanliness
  • supervise food quality and portion control
  • estimate food needs and place orders
  • review financial information and monitor budgets
  • adhere to service and cost standards
  • complete financial and payroll administrative duties
  • provide direction to employees
  • conduct interviews and hire hourly staff
  • train employees on company culture and guest experience
  • provide ongoing employee feedback and conduct performance reviews
  • prepare staffing schedules
