Job Requirements
- Must be able to push, lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk most of the shift
- Have sufficient dexterity to handle food/equipment efficiently and safely
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work full-time or part-time shifts
- Willingness to attend training and maintain professionalism
- Prior food service experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior experience in food service or cooking (preferred)
- Strong attention to sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food according to safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies
- Prepare and assemble cold appetizers, salads, and accompaniments according to recipes and prep sheets
- Perform advance preparation tasks to ensure smooth meal service
- Complete food temperature checks to ensure food safety
- Taste and evaluate all prepared items for quality control
- Maintain accurate preparation records and store food properly
- Communicate any stock shortages to the supervisor
- Clean and sanitize work areas and cooking equipment
- Ensure all cold food preparation meets established procedures
- Maintain a neat and organized workstation
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including state, county, and HRS standards
- Handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
- Attend required training and in-service education sessions
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Assist with resident evacuation in emergencies when necessary
- Deliver excellent customer service to residents, guests, and staff
- Provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all
- Perform other duties as assigned
