Job Requirements

  • Must be able to push, lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk most of the shift
  • have sufficient dexterity to handle food/equipment efficiently and safely
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to follow recipes and prep sheets accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • prior experience in food service or cooking (preferred)
  • strong attention to sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies
  • prepare and assemble cold appetizers, salads, and accompaniments according to recipes and prep sheets
  • perform advance preparation tasks to ensure smooth meal service
  • complete food temperature checks to ensure food safety
  • taste and evaluate all prepared items for quality control
  • maintain accurate preparation records and store food properly
  • communicate any stock shortages to the supervisor
  • clean and sanitize work areas and cooking equipment
  • ensure all cold food preparation meets established procedures
  • maintain a neat and organized workstation
  • adhere to all health and safety regulations, including state, county, and HRS standards
  • handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
  • attend required training and in-service education sessions
  • maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • assist with resident evacuation in emergencies when necessary
  • deliver excellent customer service to residents, guests, and staff
  • provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all
  • perform other duties as assigned
