Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar culinary role
  • Post-high school education of 2-3 years or equivalent skills
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff effectively
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to develop menus and control food costs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve personnel issues promptly

Job Qualifications

  • Post-high school education or comparable skills
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar culinary position
  • Advanced knowledge of food service industry principles and best practices
  • Strong communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing
  • Experience overseeing personnel in a fast-paced culinary environment
  • Culinary degree advantageous but not required

Job Duties

  • Coordinate staff and culinary activities to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide guidance and leadership in managing kitchen personnel and overseeing culinary activities
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient service and quality control
  • Assess estimated food consumption and arrange procurement of essential food items
  • Develop menus and recipes, establishing standardized production methods and quality standards
  • Maintain equipment operation through regular maintenance checks
  • Adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Supervise catering functions and offer culinary training or showcases
  • Support professional development of less experienced cooks by sharing culinary insights
