Job Requirements

  • Experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar culinary position is mandatory
  • Post-high school education background of 2-3 years or comparable skills required
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff effectively
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-moving culinary setting

Job Qualifications

  • Post-high school education of 2-3 years or equivalent skills
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar culinary position
  • Culinary degree is advantageous but not required
  • Advanced knowledge of food service industry principles and best practices
  • Experience in overseeing personnel and resolving issues in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Strong communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing

Job Duties

  • Coordinate staff and culinary activities to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide guidance and leadership in managing kitchen personnel and culinary operations
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations for efficient service and quality control
  • Assess food consumption and procure essential food items accordingly
  • Develop and refine menu and recipes ensuring consistent quality
  • Establish presentation techniques and plan and price menus
  • Maintain equipment operation through regular maintenance checks
  • Enforce safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure compliance
  • Supervise catering functions and provide culinary training and showcases
  • Support professional development of junior kitchen staff through mentoring and training
