Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in restaurant or kitchen operations
  • Ability to understand and implement food safety and quality standards
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of inventory management and food preparation processes
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to grasp and convey Chipotle's principles regarding Food With Integrity
  • Proficient in the main language(s) spoken at the job location
  • Minimum educational standard involves a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Prior restaurant experience is preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent food quality by cooking and preparing dishes to order, always following kitchen procedures
  • Manage the monitoring of food wastage and inventory levels, addressing any issues with food quality as necessary
  • Cultivate a supportive team environment between the staff responsible for operations and customer service
  • Guide crew members in their evolution into future leaders within the kitchen
  • Achieve optimal customer service and operational efficiency through effective communication with Crew members and patrons
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area
  • Inspect kitchen machinery to ensure proper maintenance and swift repair of any malfunctioning equipment
  • Follow all safety regulations to ensure the prevention of injuries and accidents
  • Comply with guidelines by properly completing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and implementing Inventory Rotation through the use of FIFO principles
