Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of high-volume host/hostess experience
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer equipment
  • Knowledge of Opera and OpenTable preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs
  • US work authorization required

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of high-volume host/hostess experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job
  • Knowledge of Opera and OpenTable preferred or is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 10 lbs

Job Duties

  • Seat guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference
  • Answer telephones to take guest reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service
  • Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest's name consistently
  • Inspect and maintain menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance
