Job Description
The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a luxurious hotel located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, just approximately 40 minutes away from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Basic computer skills and ability to use reservation systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work without sponsorship
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
- Possession of valid alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by law
Job Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal communication skills both on the phone and in person
- Knowledge of computers and reservation systems
- Flexible schedule availability including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must hold current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency
- Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours
Job Duties
- Welcoming and greeting dining guests both on phone and in person
- Taking reservations and managing table accommodations
- Offering menu recommendations to guests
- Ensuring guest satisfaction as the final point of contact
- Handling guest inquiries and directing them appropriately
- Coordinating seating arrangements to maximize restaurant efficiency
- Assisting with general restaurant operations as needed
