Job Description

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a luxurious hotel located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, just approximately 40 minutes away from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use reservation systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be legally eligible to work without sponsorship
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Possession of valid alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by law

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal communication skills both on the phone and in person
  • Knowledge of computers and reservation systems
  • Flexible schedule availability including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must hold current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours

Job Duties

  • Welcoming and greeting dining guests both on phone and in person
  • Taking reservations and managing table accommodations
  • Offering menu recommendations to guests
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction as the final point of contact
  • Handling guest inquiries and directing them appropriately
  • Coordinating seating arrangements to maximize restaurant efficiency
  • Assisting with general restaurant operations as needed
