Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capacity to multitask and work under pressure
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to follow company policies and safety procedures

  • Working knowledge of point of sale system helpful

Job Duties

  • Oversee and assist in maintaining cleanliness of outlet
  • Ensure coverage of the entrance, greeting arriving guests and thanking those that are leaving
  • Assist with special event set-up, such as skirting buffet or inserting menu cards
  • Check reservations in book and assign table numbers
  • Ensure availability for resort guests
  • Call to confirm large parties
  • Check schedule and staffing levels
  • Check all menus for cleanliness and accuracy
  • Answer the telephone, take reservations and give directions to restaurant
  • Maintain waiting list, select table and escort guests to the table
  • Resolve guest problems whenever possible and involve manager when necessary
  • Answer questions regarding menu items
  • Schedule reservations according to established procedures
  • Bring guests' needs to the attention of appropriate dining room staff or management
  • Complete daily labor report
  • Check IG for reservations and maintain waves
  • Take guests' food and drink orders when business necessitates
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and behavior of guests alerting a manager of any intoxicated or questionable guests
  • Observe guests' progress and respond in a timely way to their needs
  • Clean up spills immediately
  • Set-up and break down special events, including moving tables, chairs and other furniture as necessary
  • Remove used dishes and maintain tables during meal by replacing utensils as necessary and refolding napkins
  • Follow Pebble Beach Company cash handling policies and procedures
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety, health and general policies and procedures
