Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hospitality or restaurant hosting preferred
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Oversee and assist in maintaining cleanliness of outlet
- ensure coverage of the entrance, greeting arriving guests and thanking those that are leaving
- assist with special event or buyout set-ups, such as moving tables, running food or bussing
- check reservations in book and assign table numbers
- ensure availability for resort guests
- call to confirm reservations and large parties
- complete all assigned tasks given by your manager or supervisor
- check all menus for cleanliness and accuracy
- answer the telephone, take reservations and give directions to restaurant
- maintain waiting list, select table and escort guests to the table
- resolve guest problems whenever possible and involve manager when necessary
- answer questions regarding menu items, company history and The Hay golf course
- schedule reservations according to established procedures
- bring guests' needs to the attention of appropriate dining room staff or management
- assist clearing and bussing tables when applicable
- check reservations in book and IG, and assign table numbers
- ensure availability for resort guests
- check Zomato for reservations and maintain waves
- call to confirm large parties and schedule reservations according to established procedures
- create a great welcome and arrival experience, smile and escort guests to the table
- take the guests' food and drink orders when business necessitates
- monitor alcohol consumption and behavior of guests alerting a manager of any intoxicated or questionable guests
- observe guests' progress and respond in a timely way to their needs
- assist in side work such as rollup, menus, condiments and any other prep for the next shift
- assist in food running to the bar and tables when applicable
- remove used dishes and maintain tables during meal by replacing utensils as necessary and refolding napkins
- follow Pebble Beach Company cash handling policies and procedures
- comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety, health and general policies and procedures
