Job Duties
- Oversee and assist in maintaining cleanliness of outlet
- Ensure coverage of the entrance, greeting arriving guests and thanking those that are leaving
- Assist with special event or buyout set-ups, such as moving tables, running food or bussing
- Check reservations in book and assign table numbers
- Ensure availability for resort guests
- Call to confirm reservations and large parties
- Complete all assigned tasks given by your manager or supervisor
- Check all menus for cleanliness and accuracy
- Answer the telephone, take reservations and give directions to restaurant
- Maintain waiting list, select table and escort guests to the table
- Resolve guest problems whenever possible and involve manager when necessary
- Answer questions regarding menu items, company history and The Hay golf course
- Schedule reservations according to established procedures
- Bring guests' needs to the attention of appropriate dining room staff or management
- Assist clearing and bussing tables when applicable
- Check Zomato for reservations and maintain waves
- Create a great welcome and arrival experience, smile and escort guests to the table
- Take the guests' food and drink orders when business necessitates
- Monitor alcohol consumption and behavior of guests alerting a manager of any intoxicated or questionable guests
- Observe guests' progress and respond in a timely way to their needs
- Assist in side work such as rollup, menus, condiments and any other prep for the next shift
- Assist in food running to the bar and tables when applicable
- Remove used dishes and maintain tables during meal by replacing utensils as necessary and refolding napkins
- Follow Pebble Beach Company cash handling policies and procedures
- Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety, health and general policies and procedures
