Perseid Restaurant is a celebrated neighborhood bistro located inside Hotel Saint Augustine in Montrose. It offers a unique Gulf Coast-inspired take on the classic bistro experience, serving thoughtfully crafted dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a host or greeter role preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Previous host, greeter, or front of house experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain organized and professional during busy service periods
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
  • Full morning availability for an AM schedule, with preferred flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Interest in hospitality and guest experience

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Manage reservations, walk ins, waitlists, and table assignments
  • Communicate seating needs and guest preferences to service and management teams
  • Maintain an organized and inviting host stand and entry area
  • Monitor dining room flow to ensure efficient seating and positive guest experience
  • Answer guest questions and provide accurate information about the menu and restaurant
  • Assist with guest concerns and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Support overall front of house operations and assist team members when appropriate
