Job Requirements
- High school diploma, preferred
- gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s)
- ability to obtain a food handlers card
- excellent verbal communication skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- demonstrates the ability to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders
- ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays

Job Duties
- Answers phones
- greets all guests and bids guest farewells and thanks them for choosing Crossings Cafe
- shows the guest, at a comfortable pace with them, to their table
- gives a quality assurance, for example "Enjoy your dinner."
- introduces server when seating guest
- follows company standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting with the proper verbiage: "Good morning, afternoon, or evening, thank you, ma'am or sir, may I?"
- informs the server of special requests, celebrations or time constraints, using approved methods
- follows approved check transfer policy
- performs opening and closing procedures as defined
- provides the kitchen and management with a breakdown of large parties throughout the meal period as necessary
- performs any mailing, posting, mailing list, and projects given them by the manager on duty as time permits
- pays particular attention to all tables which will be seated, making sure that the table is properly set before seating
- ensures that all menus and wine lists are in good shape, wiped and presentable to the guest
- posting daily floor plans
- stocking supplies (i.e.: matches, business cards, toothpicks, etc.)
- adheres to proper sanitation procedures
- maintains cleanliness, stocking, sale and appearance of retail items and restaurant entrance
- all other duties as assigned
