Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher
- previous hospitality experience preferred
- at least one year in a host position preferred
- previous cashier and cash handling experience preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to use technology such as tablets and iPads
- ability to assist with menu revisions when needed
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly and genuine manner
- escort guests to tables and follow proper steps of service
- create a service experience that represents the Oxbow Bar & Grill brand
- monitor guests' needs and restaurant workflow to seat guests accordingly
- maintain and manage reservations in the restaurant system
- handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- converse with guests in a friendly and informative manner
- use a rotation method to ensure seating is fair
- report to work on time and in proper uniform
- work collaboratively with all Oxbow Bar & Grill team members
- check and maintain cleanliness of the greeter station and front of the restaurant
- ensure tables are properly set and ready
- communicate with servers when seating tables
- assist servers by clearing, sanitizing, and setting tables
- have knowledge of Luminary Hotel and Caloosa Sound
- communicate dining room flow to managers
- never solicit tips
- attend monthly department meetings and daily stand ups
- proficiently use Oracle MICROS POS system
- assist managers with scheduling and other duties
- follow all procedures in the training manual
- perform additional duties as requested by management
