Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a host or in a customer-facing role within the hospitality industry preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism
  • Friendly and outgoing personality to make guests feel welcome and valued
  • Familiarity with reservation management systems and basic computer skills
  • Flexible schedule including availability evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing them with a positive first impression of the restaurant
  • Handle reservations via phone, online booking systems, and in-person requests
  • Maintain an organized reservation system and accommodate special requests when possible
  • Manage seating of guests in a timely and efficient manner, balancing table rotation to optimize guest satisfaction and operational flow
  • Collaborate with the restaurant team including servers and managers to ensure smooth operations and guest experience
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns or special requests, escalating issues to management as needed
  • Uphold the standards and culture of the restaurant by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
  • Have thorough knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, daily specials, and promotions to answer guest inquiries
