Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift, carry, or move up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Must have knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Ability to follow company standards and service procedures
  • Must attend mandatory meetings
  • Must comply with hotel rules and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of local entertainment and amenities is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours including late shifts
  • Physical ability to reach, balance, stoop, crouch, bend, talk, hear, taste, and smell
  • Capacity to lift, carry, pull or move up to 10 pounds
  • Excellent memory to recognize guests and recall preferences
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Commitment to providing exceptional guest service

Job Duties

  • Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff
  • Greet and welcome each guest entering the restaurant
  • Smile and make eye contact while acknowledging guests
  • Recognize and address repeat guests by surname
  • Build rapport while walking guests to their tables
  • Pull out chairs and/or tables before guests are seated
  • Accommodate guests' needs such as wheelchairs and restroom directions
  • Act as a liaison between management and service staff
  • Communicate guest complaints and compliments to management
  • Relay guests' special needs and celebrations to staff and management
  • Invite and welcome guests upon completion of their visit
  • Alert kitchen and management of business flow and open tables
  • Ensure guest seating is rotated between all service stations
  • Answer telephone, take new reservations, and maintain current reservations
  • Maintain knowledge of the company and adhere to company standards
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service to all customers
  • Follow all sequence of service standards
  • Work flexible schedules and late hours when necessary
  • Retain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items
  • Maintain the hotel’s professional image guidelines
  • Contribute to hotel goals for increasing sales and profits
  • Promote all hotel functions and facilities enthusiastically
  • Submit all lost and found articles with reports
  • Attend mandatory meetings
  • Comply with hotel rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
