Job Duties

  • Warmly welcome and greet guests as they arrive
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel valued
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus
  • Manage special requests, such as seating preferences or accessibility needs
  • Manage reservations using the restaurant's booking system
  • Coordinate table assignments to maximize seating capacity and efficiency
  • Communicate wait times accurately and manage the waitlist
  • Maintain a smooth flow of guests entering and leaving the dining area
  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
  • Inform guests of daily specials, promotions, or special events
  • Answer phone calls regarding reservations, restaurant details, and inquiries
  • Keep the host stand and entrance area clean and organized
  • Ensure menus, promotional materials, and reservation books are up to date
  • Assist in setting up the dining area when needed
  • Work closely with restaurant managers, servers, and bartenders
  • Assist with light bussing or resetting tables if necessary
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed
