  • 1 year experience at a full-service restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure
  • Familiarity with reservation or POS systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Manage the waitlist, quote accurate wait times, and record guest information in the reservation system
  • Plan and rotate guest seating strategically to support service flow and server balance
  • Coordinate large party seating using the party guide
  • Accommodate special seating requests when possible
  • Escort guests to tables, present menus, and provide server introductions
  • Communicate guest needs to servers and management as needed
  • Assist with cleaning and resetting tables promptly if needed to ensure smooth guest turnover
  • Thank departing guests and invite them to return
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
  • Collaborate with the FOH team to create a seamless and excellent guest experience
  • When multiple hosts are scheduled, responsibilities will be divided and assigned to maximize efficiency and elevate the overall hospitality experience
  • Create craveable, memorable dining experiences
