Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous leadership experience in food and beverage or restaurant management
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • Scheduling proficiency
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Familiarity with liquor liability laws
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays
  • Basic financial acumen

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous restaurant general manager experience required
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Understanding of financial statements and labor productivity

Job Duties

  • Insure maximum guest satisfaction while dining in the restaurant
  • Conduct pre-meal meetings with service staff daily
  • Supervise floor operations during service
  • Ensure service personnel follow protocol including steps of service
  • Monitor timing of guest experience
  • Handle all guest complaints to satisfaction
  • Maintain a smooth running operation
  • Make weekly schedules for front of the house staff
  • Ensure kitchen, stewarding and cashier staff are on duty as scheduled
  • Ensure side-stations are fully stocked with equipment
  • Complete and check out all side-work
  • Ensure beverage machines function properly
  • Ensure station rotation in seating
  • Assist in guest seating or service as necessary
  • Coordinate all functions during dining room service
  • Monitor productivity of service staff
  • Critique quality and consistency of food product
  • Post accurate special boards and descriptions
  • Continuously check food quality and presentation
  • Maintain food displays during service
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and comments on food and service
  • Recognize repeat guests
  • Review reservations daily and check VIP list
  • Handle all special attention details
  • Maintain cleanliness and atmosphere of restaurant
  • Ensure staff uniforms and appearances meet specifications
  • Inspect tabletops and side-stations
  • Inspect all menus daily
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and in good condition
  • Keep work areas neat, orderly and clean
  • Adjust lights and music appropriately
  • Contribute to restaurant profitability through cost control
  • Perform positive up-selling with service staff
  • Expedite table turnover and resetting
  • Implement sales promotions and merchandising
  • Be familiar with beverage procedures and equipment
  • Assist cashier when needed
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Enforce liquor liability laws
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management
