Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of restaurant experience with at least 2 years in a management position
  • Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation
  • Strong technology skills including MS Word, Excel, TOAST, Paycom
  • Current California Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
  • Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate
  • Ability to remain calm and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Neat, professional appearance
  • Ability to work cohesively with a team and communicate tactfully
  • Able to perform all front-of-house functions

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant as needed
  • Perform other duties as required by senior management
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to minimize costs, including labor costs
  • Assist with financial tasks such as invoices, reporting, and payroll-related administrative duties
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness, and dining area maintenance
  • Ensure consistent high quality of food service
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
  • Maintain professional restaurant image including cleanliness and employee appearance
  • Ensure positive guest service and respond to guest complaints
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and laws
  • Implement proper security procedures for employees, guests, and assets
  • Ensure a safe environment to reduce risk of injury and accidents
  • Enforce labor laws
  • Provide direction to employees on operational and procedural issues
  • Interview applicants and conduct new hire onboardings
  • Maintain accurate restaurant staffing plans and prepare schedules
  • Assist with training, recruiting, coaching, and counseling employees
  • Ensure employees take required breaks
  • Train and develop employees with ongoing feedback
  • Assist with implementing departmental policies, goals, and procedures
