Job Requirements

  • Requires 5 to 7 years of experience in restaurant management
  • WSET or CMS certifications required
  • Must be certified in ServSafe Management certification course
  • Must hold current Washington State food handler card and Washington State Mixologist license
  • Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification
  • Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Possess strong math skills and able to operate inventory, purchasing, and reservation systems
  • Experience with Craftable, Avero, Acumatica, Resy, Micros a plus
  • Demonstrates team management, delegation, issue resolution, and coaching skills
  • Ability to interact with others in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
  • Ability to take direction
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Comfortable with fluctuating priorities and new initiatives
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and needs without direct supervision

Job Duties

  • Align business operations with the mission, values, and vision of The Edgewater Hotel
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and internal partners to ensure cohesive restaurant management
  • Develop and implement training programs to mentor and coach staff
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of restaurant managers and service staff
  • Prepare and complete operational action plans focusing on production, quality, and customer service standards
  • Manage financial objectives through forecasting, scheduling expenditures, and variance analysis
  • Oversee bar menu planning, inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Collaborate with Chef and back-of-house staff to maintain seamless service
  • Promote safety and sanitation standards, inspecting food handling practices
  • Plan, promote, and facilitate meetings to ensure clear communication
  • Serve as manager or FOH lead in the absence of the restaurant management
  • Market the restaurant in conjunction with marketing and senior leadership teams
  • Make staffing decisions including hiring, scheduling, promotion, and discipline
