Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years restaurant or retail experience or combined experience and education
  • Experience in sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training
  • Proven track record of successful hiring and retention
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
  • ServeSafe certified
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of three years restaurant or retail management experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Experience with P&L management and financial reporting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop team members
  • ServeSafe certification
  • Ability to manage scheduling and labor control
  • Customer service expertise

Job Duties

  • Reinforce Border Foods core values of accountability, integrity, family, excellence, teamwork, and empowerment
  • Manage the overall operation of the restaurant ensuring a positive guest experience
  • Schedule and deploy team members effectively to maintain efficient restaurant operations
  • Monitor team member performance and hold them accountable to standards and expectations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in accordance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues with a sincere approach
  • Develop and train team members including conducting new hire orientation and ongoing coaching
  • Manage restaurant financials including profit and loss statements, labor control, inventory, and waste management
  • Maintain point of sale systems and monitor system performance
  • Create strategies for short-term and long-term restaurant success
  • Foster a positive work environment, motivating and supporting team members
  • Build cross-functional relationships and manage team conflicts to enhance unity
  • Apply strict cash handling policies and banking requirements
  • Provide learning and development opportunities, guidance on career paths, and empower team members
  • Uphold company culture and represent Border Foods positively in the community
