Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Open availability and ability to work a minimum of 5 days and 48 hours per week
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of background check and motor vehicle report
  • Must possess leadership qualities and organizational skills
  • Ability to interact cooperatively with others
  • Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of management experience required
  • Restaurant management experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys General Manager Development Plan and Operations Excellence Capstone Class
  • Obtain food safety certification and manager certification
  • Participate in any additional training required by Zax LLC
  • Ensure the restaurant delivers great guest experiences
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels through sourcing, interviewing, hiring, retaining, and recognizing top performers
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development for team members while holding them accountable
  • Create effective work schedules to drive sales and control labor costs
  • Plan and delegate shift assignments including communicating expectations
  • Maintain service, product quality, and cleanliness standards consistently
  • Foster a positive culture and healthy team morale by providing guidance and being a role model
  • Manage profitability by driving sales, controlling costs, developing team members, and enforcing operational standards
  • Build community relationships to increase sales and provide outstanding product and service
  • Control costs and losses by maintaining operational standards and compliance with company policies
  • Conduct performance reviews for crew and assist with manager reviews
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as Zaxbys policies
  • Keep accurate and current management records
  • Review performance metrics daily and develop action plans to improve profitability, sales, and guest experience
  • Handle and report guest and team member complaints, concerns, and injuries promptly
  • Maintain flexibility to perform beyond the job description
  • Ensure team adherence to safety guidelines and escalate issues to supervisors
  • Perform all other duties necessary for restaurant operations
