The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at KFC plays a pivotal role in ensuring the overall success and smooth operation of the restaurant. A core responsibility of the RGM is to lead and inspire the restaurant team, including Shift Supervisors and Team Members, through effective recruitment, comprehensive training, and ongoing development. The RGM ensures that all team members are aligned with KFC's brand ethos, maintaining professional appearance and adherence to company policies such as uniform standards and prohibition of cellphone use during work hours. Leadership extends to conducting daily pre-shift meetings and weekly performance reviews to keep the team motivated and focused on meeting business objectives.

Operationally, the RGM oversees all facets of the restaurant’s functioning, from food preparation and service quality to safety and cleanliness. They are charged with maintaining full compliance with KFC standards and local health regulations, executing marketing promotions, and ensuring product consistency. Financial accountability is also key, as the RGM controls labor and food costs, completes accurate sales and inventory reports, and handles cash deposits responsibly.

Customer service is at the heart of the RGM’s role. They ensure every guest enjoys friendly interactions, efficient service, and top-quality meals. The RGM addresses guest feedback promptly and implements strategies to encourage repeat business and increased sales. Additionally, the RGM enforces company safety, sanitation, and security procedures to guarantee the restaurant is always inspection-ready.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, active car insurance, and basic computer skills. They must be willing to relocate if necessary and maintain high performance in all restaurant operational checklists and evaluations.
