Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures in a restaurant
  • Basic knowledge of general business practices
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills and computer competency
  • Customer service focused and oriented
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • 2-4 year of experience in related food service management position preferred
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required
  • Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training

Job Duties

  • Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of front-of-house and back-of-house team members
  • Conduct and supervise the training and development of front-of-house and back-of-house team members
  • Uphold food preparation specifics by ensuring standard operational procedures are followed for consistent delivery of quality food items
  • Communicate, train and coach team members and shift leaders on all changes or new procedures, processes, products, promotions, or equipment introduced to the restaurant
  • Conduct succession planning 1-on-1s with designated team members
  • Ensure team members comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform
  • Manage daily operations of a restaurant shift
  • Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
