Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of hospitality management experience, specifically in restaurants
  • Minimum of two years serving as a Restaurant General Manager
  • Strong background in service training
  • Bachelor's degree in related field of hospitality management or equivalent work experience
  • Certified Sommelier or Certified Wine Specialist preferred but not required
  • Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TIPS certification
  • Adaptable interpersonal skills to communicate and address all employee levels
  • Professional proficiency in English language in reading, writing and verbal communication

Job Duties

  • Drive holistic restaurant performance by developing and executing an operating plan that delivers on the restaurant's unique food and beverage concept including attaining a high level of service and a robust wine menu
  • Develop trusting and transparent relationships with the Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef and associates by being collaborative, humble and open-minded
  • Model behaviors of servant leadership and hands-on assistance, providing mentoring, coaching and training to develop technical and soft skills of the team
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of food, beverage, and wine program, including preparation and service methods and conduct education for staff
  • Practice continual improvement by identifying and addressing service issues and operational efficiencies
  • Act as front of house ambassador by engaging in all service aspects, ensuring guest experiences exceed expectations and seating is maximized
  • Collaborate on financial management including inventory, budget, labor controls, menu performance and P&L goals
  • Plan and execute special events in coordination with Directors of Lifestyle and Sales
  • Facilitate daily pre-shift meetings and ensure compliance with opening and closing procedures
  • Monitor facilities and equipment conditions and recommend improvements
  • Train staff on POS system usage and manage POS activities
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws as the restaurant's guardian of policies
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by Director of Food and Beverage
