Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous management experience in the restaurant or retail industry preferred
  • Ability to work 50+ hours per week including nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws and restaurant operations
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts
  • Proficiency in financial controls and inventory management
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to train and develop staff
  • Reliable and punctual

Job Duties

  • Work a 50+ hour work week including nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Maintain frequent contact with the public, business, and community organizations to develop public relations
  • Communicate with vendors regarding delivery of quality supplies and equipment repairs
  • Maintain staffing levels through effective hiring and scheduling
  • Supervise staff to ensure prompt and courteous customer service and adherence to quality, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Provide on-the-job training for crew members
  • Implement restaurant-level financial controls to ensure accountability
  • Order supplies as needed and maintain proper inventory control
  • Handle customer complaints tactfully to maintain satisfaction
  • Appraise subordinate performance and provide recognition
  • Prepare sales and expense projections to set profit objectives
  • Exercise managerial judgment in employee relations including evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Complete and maintain records and reports required by law and company policy
  • Train assistant managers and trainees to develop management skills
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
