Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of Restaurant General Manager experience
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Follow Smashburger uniform standards
- Ability to follow guidelines set forth by Smashburger and employment regulations
- Must successfully complete Smashburger training program
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- People management skills to coach and lead teams
- Excellent attention to detail

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of Restaurant General Manager experience in restaurants

Job Duties
- Report to the Director of Operations/District Manager and support management teams in assigned restaurant
- Manage performance of Restaurant Managers, Shift Leaders, and employees
- Promote a fun and positive work environment
- Develop future leaders for the company
- Manage effectiveness of people-focused processes and systems
- Ensure adequate staffing through employee retention, recruitment, and performance management
- Provide initial and ongoing training using SmashConnect LMS and 4-step method
- Reward and recognize employee performance exceeding standards
- Engage in talent reviews and performance discussions
- Partner with HR Business Partner to handle disciplinary processes
- Resolve employee relations issues with support from DO, SDO, and HRBP
- Oversee operational checklists including line checks, uniform standards, opening/closing checklists, and safe/deposit logs
- Manage FSC operational standards and corrective action plans
- Handle guest experience metrics (NPS, OSAT) and resolve complaints promptly
- Ensure compliance with food safety and local health regulations
- Exemplify and communicate guest service standards
- Manage onboarding and training of new employees
- Facilitate routine management communications
- Control business spending within budgets
- Manage COGS through order management, inventory, and reporting
- Monitor spending on accounts cleaning, small wares, and operating costs
- Enforce company cash policies to minimize loss
- Build sales through community involvement
- Oversee labor cost management within legal requirements
- Participate in P&L reviews
- Build schedules based on forecast tools and sales trends
- Manage local store marketing programs as assigned
